Welcome to Williams Audio

My interest in the pedal side of things started about 20 years ago when I was given a non-working '70's Electric Mistress, the satisfaction of suddenly getting this amazing sound happen after hours of blindly messing about with its guts got me thinking maybe I could learn what these bits do and make my own. I worked with an old school ex-BBC engineer repairing vintage radios and amplifiers and learnt the proper way of doing things. So, many years later, a pedal collection around the 200 mark and too many other bit to count!
I play live, sometimes several times a week and my approach to what I build is 'Would I use this at a show?', 'Will it stand up to being dropped, thrown, drenched in beer / cider / sweat etc...' and most importantly 'Does it sound @*@$#@ good?!'. I will not use low cost parts, this is is a false economy, I don’t want my sound to die at a show because the builder saved a dime on a socket!
